Finnish wire, cable, pipe and tube production technology company Maillefer International has been acquired by US-based plastic and rubber extrusion and converting systems producer Davis-Standard.

The acquisition includes Maillefer’s offices in Vantaa, Finland and Ecublens, Switzerland. Pending customary regulatory approvals, the transaction is scheduled to close early September at the latest.

“Maillefer is a global leader that has built a strong brand based on operational excellence, technology, and providing superior customer solutions,” says Jim Murphy, Davis-Standard president and CEO.

Murphy also points out that the businesses share common values that create a platform for cooperative growth focused on delivering best-in class systems and service to customers.

“Davis-Standard and Maillefer are an excellent fit,” states Maillefer CEO Lars Fagerholm. “[…] Maillefer will continue to operate and serve its customers as before, and we are excited about this unique chance for business growth and opportunity for all stakeholders.”
