Finnish game developer Critical Force and online retailer giant Amazon have agreed to start a collaboration.

The Finnish game studio’s eSports game Critical Ops can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore, and the game is also one of the featured mobile eSports games in the Amazon’s Mobile Masters Las Vegas (M2LV) event in October.

Critical Ops has been downloaded for over 26 million times, and it boasts over 860 000 daily players.

“It is absolutely fantastic that a major player like Amazon wanted to collaborate with us,” says Veli-Pekka Piirainen, the CEO of Critical Force, in the press release. “Amazon is investing a lot of effort to mobile eSports and also to their Twitch video streaming service’s mobile offering. We believe that our collaboration will expand our player base even more.”

The Critical Ops M2LV tournament will be held on 14 October at the Neonopolis’ Millennial eSports Arena, the first eSports facility in Las Vegas.

Critical Force is growing at a fast pace. Recently, the Kajaani-based firm opened an office in South Korea, after landing an over four-million-euro investment from NHN Entertainment.
