Known for its personalised learning platform Claned, Finnish Claned Group has gained a foothold in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region by forming a partnership with Singaporean education technology company eLC.

The partnership covers the distribution and resale rights in Singapore and the APAC region of the Claned cloud-based learning platform, which combines machine learning algorithms with Finnish pedagogy to make learning more efficient and suitable for the individual user.

“The need for supporting learners in a self-paced, self-directed learning environment is constantly rising as the pressures for Skills Future as well as employability are clearly increasing,” says William Chua, CEO at eLC in a press release. “Learning analytics allows educators to closely monitor learner’s progress through extensive feedback on the content and the learner’s learning styles”

The Finnish company has previously taken on the Indian education and corporate training market by finding the right partners there, and the new partnership with eLC offers a foot in the door into the APAC region.

“The eLC partnership will open doors to potentially hundreds of thousands of new users in the near future,” Claned Group CEO Mervi Palander points out in the same release. “This agreement signifies for Claned a major opening to Singapore and potentially the rest of APAC market, and we are confident that many educational institutes and organisations will soon join our platform.”

The new partnership was announced during the Finland 100 at Singapore Innovation Week.
