Caverion helps Düsseldorf project get a-Float
Caverion, the Finnish provider of energy-efficient solutions, will set up all the technical disciplines in the FLOAT office buildings being developed in Düsseldorf, Germany, in a contract worth an estimated 25 million euros.
The new Float offices located in Düsseldorf’s Media Harbour area, is a six-building complex all connected by a transparent corridor and designed by famous architect Renzo Piano.
The contract Caverion signed with Immofinanz is worth an estimated 25 million euros and includes installation of ventilation, cooling, electricity, communication services, security, automation as well as heating and sanitation. In addition Caverion will be responsible for all the technical disciplines in the future tenant areas.
“We have many references for this kind of building in Germany,” says Werner Kühn, executive vice president & CEO of Caverion’s German division. “And we have solid knowhow to ensure the standards necessary for the targeted LEED Gold building certificate.”
The 31 000-square metre office complex features the latest in high-end design and looks to be a prototype for the office of the future. It is set to be completed in the autumn of 2018.
