Bon Games gathers speed for first game release
Finnish game studio Bon Games has raised 1.4 million US dollars in seed funding, as it prepares the release of its first game Transit King, in collaboration with Fingersoft.
The investment round generated interest among Finnish investors such as Polkuni and Nurmiranta Holdings, and closed in time for the worldwide release of Bon Games‘s first title Transit King on 16 November.
The game will be released on Apple and Google mobile app stores worldwide in co-operation with Fingersoft, the Finnish game developer best known for its Hill Climb Racing games, which have been downloaded hundreds of millions of times.
Transit King is a tycoon game, where players strive to create the largest and most efficient transport networks possible in order to dominate the world’s logistics industry.
“We saw that the tycoon and simulation genres offer opportunities for new ideas,” says CEO of Bon Games Ilkka Immonen. “Players of many old classics (such as Transport Tycoon and Railroad Tycoon) are having a hard time finding anything that pleases them on the mobile simulation market. We are focusing on this and aiming to build the world’s best studio focusing on tycoon games.”
