Friday, 27 November, 2009
Okmetic and Japanese trading company Marubeni have agreed on a contract for year 2010 whereby Okmetic will supply Marubeni silicon mono crystals. The sales contract will amount to around 7 million euro.
Due to the sales contract and Okmetic's improved market situation the company cancels most of the 23 temporarily layoffs announced in September.
Okmetic is a technology company which supplies tailor-made silicon wafers for sensor and semiconductor industries and sells its technological expertise to the solar cell industry.
Okmetic has a global customer base and sales network, production plants in Finland and the US and contract manufacturers in Japan and China.
