YIT signs major contracts to Germany and Sweden

Finnish specialist in building systems and construction and industrial services YIT has published contracts to Germany and Sweden with a total value of over 57 million euros.

YIT has signed a contract to install heating, air conditioning and cooling systems to the new head office of the automobile association ADAC in Munich. The value of the services, which are to be performed until summer 2011, total to 20 million euros.

YIT will also be responsible for the technical installation of ventilation and cooling systems, sanitary and sprinklers at the new building of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main. The work will start in 2011 and the value of the contract is 30 million euros.

YIT has also received a contracting order of over 7 million euros for Kiruna's new mining project. The contracting work consists of pump and pipe installations in pumping stations, pipe installations in basins and in bore holes. The project will begin immediately and the production start for the new mine is planned for autumn 2011.

The installation work will take place 1,000 metres underground, which requires thorough planning. Majority of the materials, piping, attachments, fasteners and other components are manufactured in YIT´s workshop in Leppävirta and Ylivieska in Finland.
