YIT enters into an operation and maintenance agreement for Statoil offices in Norway

Statoil/ Harald Pettersen Statoil has good experiences with outsourcing. In addition to ICT systems, for the next three years YIT will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Statoil’s Norwegian office buildings.
YIT and Statoil have entered into a frame agreement for the delivery of services within operation and maintenance of Statoil's office buildings in Norway. The agreement includes more than 400,000 square metres of office building area. The agreement includes deliveries within ventilation, piping and electrical work, aswell as outdoor spaces and building maintenance. The agreement is valid for 3 years with an option for one additional year.

Cooperation between the two companies was launched in 2009 when Statoil awarded YIT a 60 million euro contract dealing with ICT equipment. According to President of YIT AS in Norway, Trygve B. Thøgersen the new operation and maintenance agreement is significantly larger.

- The agreement is of considerable strategic importance for both YIT in Norway and internationally, says Thøgersen.

YIT has extensive experience with operation and maintenance of buildings and their technical installations, which are YIT’s strategic focus area in the building and industrial services sector.
