Good News from Mon, 21 September, 2009:

Valtra agrees on 20 million Euro tractor deal to China

Valtra

The Finnish tractor manufacturer Valtra will deliver 306 tractors to China. The value of the deal is 20 million Euros and it also includes spare parts and training.

The tractors will be delivered to China's northeastern province Heilongjiang. The 208 horsepower vehicles belong to Valtra's T191 HiTech series and they will be manufactured later this year in the company's Suolahti factory in Finland.

The order certainly perks up the employment situation within tractor business. Thanks to the recently signed Chinese order, the production at Valtra's factory in Suolahti will begin to be operated in two shifts from the beginning of October onwards.

Valtra established a sales company in China in the early 21st Century. According to the company Finnish vehicles have ever since been the most popular imported tractors in China.

Valtra's factories in Finland and Brazil manufactured a total of 25,000 tractors last year. Valtra belongs to the AGCO Group.
