Valmet Automotive brings ”Eva” to Geneva Motor Show

Valmet Automotive Valmet Automotive’s ”Eva” is a joint innovation of several Finnish experts, including Fortum and Nokia.
The new electric concept vehicle of Valmet Automotive gets its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show on March 2–14th.

The “Eva” concept vehicle is a 2+2 seat full-electric city car with a range of up to 160 km per charge. In engineering the vehicle, lightweight and safe body structures have been combined with electric and recharging systems of the latest technology.

Last August the energy company Fortum and Valmet Automotive signed a cooperation agreement, which means that the two companies work together in developing recharging systems for electric concept vehicles and electric cars. In cooperation with Nokia “Eva” is equipped with a pioneering Human Machine Interface through mobile handset connectivity, while NAVTEQ showcases a demo of its Green Routing service.

Valmet Automotive is a forerunner in engineering and manufacturing electric vehicles.

Last year the production of two electric cars began at Valmet Automotive’s Uusikaupunki factory: the urban electric THINK City car and the Golf Car Garia. Valmet Automotive is also an engineering and manufacturing partner of the world's first premium plug-in hybrid electric vehicle Fisker Karma. The production of the vehicle starts later this year.
