TimberHeart builds a timber apartment building in the Pyrenees
TimberHeart takes care of the structural design of the house’s timber frame solution and the project’s implementation. The prefabricated timber sections, carrying pillars and beams have been manufactured at the company’s factory in Finland. The architectural design of the building is carried out by a French architect office.
– The popularity of environmentally friendly construction and timber has increased significantly in Central and Southern Europe in recent years. The robust TimberFrame is quick to erect, which makes the construction process fast and ecological, says the Managing Director at TimberHeart, Risto Kontinen.
TimberHeart’s biggest pillar and beam construction was the recently completed 2000-square-metre Biolan Oy headquarters in Eura, Finland. The company, which has been designing and building family and holiday homes and public buildings since 2002, has previously erected a 1800-square-metre timber frame shopping mall in the Southern Finnish town of Ingå. In addition to Finland, the TimberHeart’s head market areas are Central and Southern Europe.
