Tieto establishes a data centre company in Russia

Finnish specialist in IT and related consulting services, Tieto Corporation and Russia's leading IT service and consulting company I-Teco will establish a new joint venture company, TrustInfo, providing a full range of globally competitive infrastructure and cloud services in Russia. Tieto will own 70 percent and I-Teco 30 percent of the shares in the new joint venture company. The initial investment by Tieto will be approximately 20 million euro.

The joint venture will operate in I-Teco's existing data centre. The data centre is already serving both Russian and foreign enterprises operating in Russia. At the same time, Tieto will upgrade the data centre with its operations management services and newest technology to enable the flexible delivery of IT infrastructure services.

Tieto's operations management services in Russia will include server operations, capacity services, connectivity and security services, Unified Communication & Collaboration, as well as the management, consolidation and optimization of applications.

The joint venture will be part of Tieto's cloud services network also including St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.
