There’s plenty to see at Levi - even in the summer
LEVIN SEIKKAILUPUISTO- The summer season is a challenge for us. Of course winter is the most important season for tourism in Lapland, but we’re aiming to operate year-round. We’ve invested a lot in recent years in summer activities and our offering has included lots of different summer holiday packages, hotel-, restaurant- and programme services, explains Sales Executive Annukka Paksuniemi from Hullu Poro Oy.
The summer season contributes most to the number of visitors at Hullu Poro, and Finnish tourists can be hard to tempt northwards on their summer holidays.
- The Finns want to go somewhere hot in the summer, laughs Annukka Paksuniemi.

- Foreign tourist groups turn up in the summer in search of the midnight sun. We get plenty of tourist parties from the central European countries such as Germany and Holland.
Levi’s strengths in the summertime are its wealth of outdoor activities. The 18 hole golf course is extremely popular during the time it stays light through the night. And the absence of snow does nothing to inhibit use of the fells where you can satisfy your need for speed on mountain bikes or summer sledding. For those in search of excitement, there’s the Levi Adventure Centre.
The great outdoors is one of summer Lapland’s greatest attractions. And to experience that at Levi you can go hiking, paddling or by bike. The lakes and rivers are also at their best in summer.
Our summer series introduces interesting and innovative companies from all over Finland.
