Technopolis continues to grow in Kuopio

Technopolis Technopolis continues to grow. The majority of the premises of Kuopio centre have already been leased out.

The technology centre Technopolis will expand its operations in the vicinity of the University of Kuopio. The second phase of Viestikatu centre is estimated to cost approximately 9.6 million Euros and the gross area to be built is 13,400 square meters including an indoor parking facility for 236 vehicles. About three quarters of the premises have already been leased out.

The premises will host a range of knowledge intensive companies, such as IT service supplier Istekki Ltd and construction service provider Skanska Talonrakennus Ltd. The second phase is scheduled for completion in September 2010.

The first phase of Technolopolis' Ruoholahti centre in Helsinki has been built accessibly right next to the Western Highway. The construction of Ruoholahti technology centre will be finalized in phases by 2011, presenting an impressive 27.200 square meter working environment to both, small companies and headquarters of major organizations.
