Goodnews specifies: Syslore delivers intelligent address recognition system for Norway Post

The Helsinki-based software company Syslore has signed a contract with Norway Post for delivering a country-wide address recognition system for Norway’s mail sorting systems. By using the Finnish programme Norway Post will increase the automation level of its mail sorting process and improve the level and quality of the address and recipient recognition.
The mCorrection –programme developed by Syslore is based on artificial intelligence and fuzzy search algorithms, which are used to match and correct incomplete, inaccurate and incorrect address, name and recipient information more efficiently and accurately than ever before.
The CEO of Syslore, Henri Tykkä considers the recently signed contract significant for the software company.
- We have developed solutions for postal services for several years already and now we can also utilize this experience in our co-operation with Norway Post, says Tykkä.
In the spring of 2008 Syslore signed a similar type of long-term contract with the Finnish national mail enterprise Itella, previously known as Suomen Posti.
Syslore is a private software company, which has been established by graduates of Helsinki University of Technology in the fields of mathematics and physics. The company has received a capital investment for instance from Nordic Venture Partners.
