Sopima Oy is one of Europe’s most promising startups
The Finnish specialist in contract management, software company Sopima, has been selected to the exclusive group of Europe's 18 most interesting technology startups in Microsoft's support program for growth companies.
18 companies were selected for the BizSpark European Summit 2010. Each of these companies presented their solutions to the jury, which consisted of well-known investors and business leaders.
- Sopima's success in the acknowledged international competition speaks of two things: that the importance of good contract management for business has been realized and at the same time, companies seek to save and improve their productivity by acquiring the necessary software as a service. The popularity of these services is rising rapidly and our growth prospects are very good, says CEO of Sopima, Jaan Apajalahti.
- Sopima was one of the first companies to build application on Windows Azure cloud computing platform, supported by our support program for growth companies. This kind of innovative companies and international cooperation are needed, when new support pillars will be built in Finland, says Ari Rahkonen, General Manager of Microsoft Finland.
Earlier this year Finland won also the Innovate!2010 Finnish semifinal for growth companies, and was included on the global Innovate! Top 100 most promising startups -list.
