Snoobi’s Pekka Koskinen is the Finnish Software Entrepreneur of the Year
Finnish Software Entrepreneurs Association Pekka KoskinenSnoobi Oy, with the leadership of Koskinen, has rapidly gained the market leader position in web analytics in Finland.
- Snoobi is a great example of a successful technology company that has based its business model on Software as a Service, SaaS -technology. The concept based on delivering services over the Internet enables fast growth and internationalization. Under Koskinen's leadership, Snoobi has developed a customer friendly and easy to use product that has great potential in the global marketplace, explains the CEO of the Finnish Software Entrepreneurs Association, Jaakko Salminen.
Snoobi's products are based on the company's software platform. Automatization has enabled a cost-effective means of providing services to thousands of companies.
- We have developed a service product, which helps our clients to succeed on the Internet and meets the needs of a wide range of end users. There is a low entry barrier, because our service is easy to use and buy. The customer will be able to test the product prior to buying it with our try & buy concept. We also offer a turnkey package with a fixed monthly fee, which includes the software and the necessary support services, says Koskinen.
Snoobi Oy, which was established in 2004, has increased its net sales and staff numbers rapidly. In 2008 Snoobi was chosen as the fastest growing technology company in Finland.
- Four years ago, we were three people. Now we employ 40 in Finland and 15 abroad. This year, our net sales are expected to increase by about 30 per cent, says Koskinen.

The Finnish Software Entrepreneurs Association is a community of leaders within the software sector, which works towards developing the software sector and operates as its trustee. The association has about 300 members, all of which central managers and leaders within the sector. The Software Entrepreneur of the Year- prize has been awarded since 1999.
