Real estate service sector has employed thousands in 2009
Finnish real estate service sector has hired approximately 3000 new employees during the first quarter of 2009. The figures were revealed by a research carried out by Kiinteistöpalvelut ry, a member organization of the European Federation of Cleaning Industry EFCI.Companies offering cleaning, property maintenance and security and technical services estimate that their need for extra employees will continue to increase during the next three years.
The ability to employ more workforce during such an economically constrained time as now has made real estate service sector to become even more esteemed as an employer.
-The employment we are able to offer carries many people through the hardships of the recession. For this reason the sector attracts more than ever people from many different fields, says Pia Gramén, the CEO of Kiinteistöpalvelut ry.
One of the future challenges in the real estate service sector will be the availability of multi-task specialists. The expectations of overall knowhow and diverse skills are increasing in the profession due to the increase in technological development and diversification of the sector.
