Protacon receives a major order from Coca-Cola Norway
Coca-Cola Drikker As Soon Norwegian coke bottles will be stored with Protacon high-tech warehouse systems.Finnish technical engineering and services company Protacon has signed a contract with Coca-Cola Drikker AS for the delivery of high-tech warehouse automation and electric systems to Norway.
The investment will double Lørenskog's warehouse capacity to 20 000 pallets, making it one of Norway's most modern warehouses
- The aim of the project is also to make the company more flexible with regard to future product innovation and package diversity, states Coca-Cola Drikker's Managing director Leif Atle Viken.
The delivery is part of the fully automated warehousing system of Actiw Oy, a Finnish specialist in automated material handling systems. The total value of the year-long project is about 12 million euro.
The first part of the warehouse will be available to production use in summer 2010. The entire warehouse is expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
