Pöyry signs 16 million euro contracts to China
and Brazil

Pöyry concluded the month of April by publishing two new engineering projects for two continents.

Pöyry signed a contract with Xi'an-Datong Passenger Dedicated Line Company Ltd for construction supervision of the Datong-Xi'an high-speed railway line Lot 2 in China by. Pöyry's share of the contract is 8.7 million euros.

The high-speed railway line is scheduled to be in operation by the end of 2013. The 678-kilometres long railway line has been designed for a speed of 350 km per hour. The length of the railways line is 219 km.

Pöyry has also signed a contract with Brazilian Suzano Papel e Celulose Ltda for pre-engineering and preparatory work for mill infrastructure. The mill, which will be built in the state of Maranhao will have an annual capacity of 1.3 million tons of bleached eucalyptus market pulp. The value of Pöyry's assignment is about approximately 7.3 million euros.
