Pöyry engineers two biomass power plants in the Philippines

Pöyry has been awarded contracts for turnkey delivery of two renewable energy power plants in the Philippines to the subsidiaries of Global Green Power PLC Corporation, Philippines. Pöyry has also signed a letter of intent for a potential third plant.

The value of each contract is approximately 23 million euros. The contracts will become effective when the financial closure for each project has been achieved.

The contracts include the engineering, procurement and construction of two 17.5 megawatt multi-fuel biomass plants. The plants will be located in Mina Iloilo and Nueva Ecija in the Philippines. The potential third 35 megawatt power plant is planned to be built in Bukidnon. The power plants will be fuelled by agricultural waste.
