Pisla acquires Polish hardware and furnishing company Vertex S.A.

Viitasaari-based supplier of hardware and furnishing products Pisla Ltd has acquired Polish Vertex S.A. Group. The group has subsidiaries in Poland and the Czech Republic, and 14 sales offices in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. The acquisition will enable Pisla to complement its product range and strengthen its position on the Baltic market.
   
Vertex S.A. is a specialist in designing, manufacturing and marketing hardware and furnishing products. It is one of Poland’s biggest companies within its sector. The Group’s annual turnover in 2009 was approximately 8 million euros, and it employs 120 people

In addition to Finland, Pisla Ltd operates in the Baltic Sea region, Scandinavia, Russia and Poland. The company manufactures and imports for instance small specialty hardware, ventilation equipment, bathroom accessories and fireplace and furnishing products.

Pisla Ltd has been in operation since 1976, and it currently employs 130 professionals. The company’s annual turnover in 2009 totaled approximately 16 million euros.
