Good News from Thu, 28 May, 2009:

Paulig builds a new coffee roastery in Russia

Oy Gustav Paulig Ab
Gustav Paulig Ltd. has made a decision to build a new coffee roastery in Tver, Russia. The implementation of the project was postponed last autumn due to the uncertain economic conditions in Russia.

The plans for the implementation of the project are complete and the transaction for buying the required plot of land has been effected. The project can be started up when the construction permits have been received. It is estimated that the roastery will be operational in the first half of 2011.

The CEO of Paulig Mr. Pekka Pirinen confirms that the implementation of the new coffee roastery is moving on because of the availability of constructors and materials at a reasonable cost.

- When the economic upswing gets under way we will have a good basis to go ahead at full speed, comments Pirinen.

A local roastery will have a significant effect on strengthening our foothold in the market in Russia and the CIS countries, Pirinen continues.

Gustav Paulig Ltd’s new Finnish roastery will be completed in Vuosaari in the autumn 2009.
