Outotec and Grupo Mexico have signed a contract for the delivery of process technology to Buenavista del Cobre's new second copper concentrator in Mexico. The value of the deal is nearly EUR 28 million.

The Buenavista del Cobre, formerly known as Cananea, concentrator was restarted in 2010 and has a processing capacity of 70,000 tonnes of ore per day. The second concentrator, which is scheduled to be commissioned in the second half of 2013, will add capacity by 100,000 tonnes per day.
