Outdoor clothing from out of the wilderness

- We test our products under authentic conditions. Although our products have been used at both North and South Poles as well as on the slopes of Everest, the real product development takes place under Finnish conditions. A real familiarity with northern conditions has been one of Sasta key differentiators over the years, he notes.
Sasta has licences for Goretex and Windstopper materials and this allows it to utilize the latest outdoor textiles. Among the newest products from Sasta are outfits incorporating Optifade concealment, developed by Goretext, to be as hard to detect as possible by the eyes of the prey.
- Optifade concealment is designed with the eyes of the elk in mind. Goretex has done a lot of research into the importance of camouflage for the hunter and the new camouflage is designed to make the hunter disappear into the background better than traditional patterns.
Materials used in outdoor textiles have developed hugely in recent years. And the new materials have also played their part in accelerating demand for quality outdoor clothing.
- Consumers value quality outdoor clothing very much more now. People today are prepared to invest in outdoor wear that is designed with care and suitable for specific conditions, Mr Saastamoinen concludes.
