Nokia, Kesko and Nest Oil qualify for the Global 100 list

Finnish corporate giants Nokia, Kesko and Nest Oil have been listed on the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations –list. The list was published at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland on 27 January 2010.

Nokia ranked fifth, Kesko 33rd and Neste Oil 85th.

In the 2010 Global 100 the companies were evaluated according to 11 sustainable development indicators. The environmental indicators assessed companies’ sustainability by comparing the energy, carbon, water and waste ratios.

The Sustainability Yearbook 2010 was published by SAM, which has for eleven consecutive years carried out the annual assessment of sustainability practices of the companies included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes. This year SAM assessed 1,237 companies, only top 15 percent of which in each sector qualified for inclusion in the Sustainability Yearbook 2010.
