Amazon US customers have given thumbs up for Nokia Lumia 900. The Finnish website itviikko.fi reports that Amazon customers in the USA rate Nokia Lumia 900 best subsidised handset. Amazon US is offering the Nokia’s smartphone for sale at $0.01 although customers are required to sign two-year contract with operator AT&T.
According to itviikko.fi and wmpoweruser.com sites Nokia Lumia has kept its top position on Amazon’s best seller charts. “Now even the start of pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S III, expected to be the biggest phone next to the iPhone 5 this year, has failed to cause the handset to budge,” writes the wmpoweruser.com site.
Nokia Lumia 900 will not get the Windows Phone 8 upgrade, but Nokia believes that the lack of an upgrade shouldn't perturb customers from investing in its current Lumia line-up, writes techradar.com. The Lumia 900 handsets will receive a scaled-back Windows Phone 7.8 update which will bring new features like the new Start screen and three Live Tile sizes.
Techradar.com quotes Nokia's SVP of Program and Product Management, Kevin Shields saying that this will be more than enough to keep consumers happy and ensure a long lifetime for the devices.
