Nokia starts to roll out its Nokia 808 PureView smartphone this month in select markets – including Russia and India. The company unveiled the latest gadget in February at the Mobile World Congress 2012.

According to CNET UK website, the new smartphone has a £540 price tag in the UK markets. The site expects the Nokia’s newest phone to hit shops in UK by the end of June.

What sets the new smartphone apart is its 41-megapixel sensor. The smartphone has been developed with Carl Zeiss, and Nokia will continue to work with on more PureView products.

PureView has completely raised the bar on imaging performance for the whole smartphone industry - and Nokia is not stopping here, said Jo Harlow, Head of Smart Devices at Nokia.

Since its launch in February, the Nokia 808 PureView has received international awards including Best Mobile Device at Mobile World Congress 2012, as well as an award for Best Imaging Innovation for 2012 from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
