MobileMonday’s 100th chapter launched in Pakistan
The MobileMonday phenomenon began in Finland in the autumn of 2000, through informal Monday evening meetings between a few well-known Finnish visionaries. Since then it has grown rapidly into a global phenomenon. Local chapters operate at the moment on all the continents, in dozens of countries, including megacities such as New York, Tokyo, Mumbai, Shanghai, Berlin and Buenos Aires.
– The latest local chapters were launched in March in Uganda and Kenya. The 100th chapter launched now is a significant milestone in the world conquest of the MobileMonday network. However, our expansion is not going to stop here. Our next launch will take place in Sri Lanka, says Mobile Monday CEO, Jari Tammisto.
Mobile Monday, which turns 10 years this autumn, aims at providing a global cooperation platform for influentials within the mobile industry. It is a platform, where technology developers and designers from small and big companies in different countries can share ideas and operational models. The local chapters, which are supported by volunteer networks of mobile professionals, organise for instance physical and virtual meetings for enthusiast with the aim of creating new innovations and partnerships in the field.
