Metso delivers a crushing and screening system to Australia

Metso
Finnish technology group Metso will supply a complete crushing and screening system to Mount Gibson Iron, Australia’s leading hematite iron ore producer.

The value of the order is nearly 10 million euro. In addition to the equipment, the order includes the new plant’s engineering, installation and project management. The capacity of the new plant, which is scheduled for completion in June 2011, will be 700 tonnes per hour.

The Extension Hill iron ore mine site is located north of Perth in Western Australia.
The plant’s current annual production of 3 million tonnes is intended to be tripled in the next three years.
