Magisso cake server receives international Red Dot Design Award

Magisso Magisso cake server worked with the same principle for 350 years until Maria Kivijärvi decided to revise its design.
Finnish design house Magisso Ltd. has won the first prize in the product design category of the coveted Red Dot Design Award. The international jury judged the entries by functionality, durability, ecological factors, and innovation and quality. The awarded cake server is made of stainless steel and designed by Maria Kivijärvi.

Red Dot Award is the biggest and best known design competition in the world. This year the competition received over 4200 entries from over 57 countries. The competition has been split to three categories: best product design, best communication design and best design concept.

The awarded products will be showcased to the international audience at the Red Dot Design Museum in Germany. Red dot Award brings wide, international visibility to the awarded products and companies. Previous Finnish winners of the Red Dot Award have been for instance Nokia, Fiskars and VEEN water bottle.
