Lundia lamp gains international recognition

Lehtikuva/Tor Wennström In addition to designing lamps and other products, Jukka Korpihete has also worked as a lighting designer.
A lamp designed by Finnish designer Jukka Kopihete has been awarded Chicago Athenaeum’s GOOD DESIGN 2009 Award. The GOOD DESIGN Awards, which have been awarded since 1950, are part of one the world’s oldest design award programs in the field of design. The international jury comprises of design professionals, architects, experts, and cultural leaders.  

In addition to function and aesthetics, the criteria for award selection is based on originality of the products. A contemporary emphasis is also placed on environmental concerns and Green Design.
 
All winning products will be exhibited at Chicago Athenaeum’s GOOD DESIGN Show in June, 2010. They will also be showcased in design exhibitions around the world.
