Lemminkäinen constructs 200 apartments in St. Petersburg

Finnish construction expert Lemminkäinen has acquired a residential development currently under construction in Ozerki, a district in the north of St Petersburg. The site will comprise some 200 apartments with a combined floor area of 15,000 square metres as well as 600 square metres of commercial premises. The construction work will be completed in autumn 2011 and sales of housing units will commence in the autumn of this year.

Lemminkäinen has aligned its business strategy according to the recent growth in Russia’s construction markets. In addition to its traditional contracting business, Lemminkäinen aims to increase the volume of its own residential and non-residential building production.

Ozerki district’s new development is designed specifically to St. Petersburg's middle-class home buyers. The construction works will be carried out by Lemminkäinen Group's international building construction company, Lemminkäinen Talo Oy International.
