Konecranes acquires a French service company
KONECRANESKonecranes, global specialist in overhead cranes and lifting equipment, has acquired the French service company Bouyer Manutention (BM) based in Tours, France. BM has 38 employees and in 2009 its net sales were approximately 5 million euro.
BM is a family company founded in 1988. The company is specialized in the mechanical and electrical maintenance, and modernization of overhead cranes and machine tools. The company's customers operate for instance in the nuclear, automotive, steel, and food industries. In addition to the company's headquarters in Tours, BM has service branches in Chinon, Le Mans, Orléans and Poitiers, all the main cities of the Loire valley.
