KONE wins an elevator order for Abu Dhabi
KONE Gate Towers skyscrapers will be completed in 2012.KONE will deliver 41 elevators and four escalators for Gate Towers skyscrapers in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Three of the towers have 65 storeys and one 22 storeys. The Gate Towers are part of the Gate District in SHAMS Abu Dhabi development and sit at the entrance of Al Reem Island. The Gate Towers will have a stunning presence on the island's skyline and they will be completed by June 2012.
- Our main objective for this project was to provide solutions with a unique people flow experience while offering the Gate Tower's residents and visitors excellent ride comfort, says Tarek Elnaggar, Regional Director of KONE Middle East.
The developer of the project is Sorouh Real Estate, one of the leading real estate companies in the UAE, while the main contractor is the prestigious Arabian Construction Company.
Earlier in December KONE signed a contract for a delivery of 12 elevators for Elite Residence residential tower in Dubai.
