Kone is delivering 32 eco-efficient elevators to a new residential high-rise development Noble Ploenchit in Bangkok, Thailand. Kone’s solutions will be delivered to four buildings - three towers with luxury condominiums and one office building. The highest building rises to 185 meters.
Space-efficiency and privacy in the surrounding energetic city centre were an important part of the building design. According to a Kone press release, the company was involved in the early stages by offering its space saving solutions to meet the customer requirements.
The order includes 20 Kone MiniSpace elevators with a compact machine room since the majority of the elevators will be for the residents' private use. MiniSpace elevators are especially suited for high-rise buildings, and they will travel at a speed of 4 m/s taking residents from the lobby to the 50th floor in approximately one minute.
The building complex is developed by Noble Development. Inspired by Le Corbusier's idea of a vertical garden city, Noble Ploenchit has been designed by IAW and the main contractor is Bouygues-Thai Ltd. The building is expected to be completed in 2015.
