Ivana Helsinki pops up in New York

Ivana Helsinki In 2008 Ivana Helsinki was in the spotlight at the Paris Fashion Week.
Finnish fashion brand Ivana Helsinki has opened a new store on New York’s Mulberry Street. The store utilizes the pop up-business concept, which means that its doors will be open temporarily only until mid-March. According to the Finnish Kauppalehti-magazine the fashion house considers opening a permanent store in the future.

– In Finland the pop up-concept is becoming quite familiar, but we can still speak of being some kind of forerunners, since apparently no other Finnish company has ever opened a pop up-store overseas. This is a major investment. The costs result from licenses, rent, staff payments, PR and so on, says Pirjo Suhonen, Founder and Marketing Director at Ivana Helsinki in Kauppalehti, a Finnish business newspaper.

Products of Ivana Helsinki have been on display in different stores all over the United States. Ivana Helsinki cooperates with the press office of the American DePalma Enterprises.

Established in 1998 Ivana Helsinki is a fashion house managed by sisters Paola and Pirjo Suhonen. In 2008 it was the first Finnish fashion house to be chosen for the main show of the Paris Fashion Week.
