The Finnish design brand Ivana Helsinki is opening its first concept store in New York. Tiina Kosonen, the Marketing Director of Ivana Helsinki, has confirmed to Kauppalehti, the Finnish Business Daily, that the new shop will be located in fashionable Nolita district in Soho, Manhattan. The VIP’s have a chance to visit the new shop on Friday, February 10, and the shop opens doors to customers on the coming Saturday.
Ivana Helsinki label is showing its Autumn/Winter collection, named Tapiola-Kauniainen, on Friday at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. The Head Designer Paola Suhonen told the fashion blog StyleCaster that the collection is inspired by her childhood weekends spent in a country home in 70’s.
The Finnish fashion label has strong links to US, and especially to New York where the Ivana Helsinki has shown its collections for years. The company also has a temporary pop-up shop in New York. Also, Paola Suhonen, lives in the US.
