Iptunes receives 1.3 million euro funding

Iptune Oy, a pioneer in mobile service management solutions, has secured a 1.3 million euro investment from a Finnish technology investor, Inventure Oy. The investment is intended to support Iptune’s international growth.

Iptune specialises in software solutions for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting IP-based data services in mobile networks.

– We want to take part in enabling Finnish companies to grow on the international markets. Iptune’s technology plays a key role in operators’ quest for new business models to beat the growing demands of data traffic. Iptune’s patented solution is unique, comments Timo Tirkkonen, Partner of Inventure.

Technology investor Inventure has focused on Finnish early-stage technology companies. The investment was made together with ex-Nokia executives, Pekka Vartiainen and Kari Ahola.

Iptune was founded in 2005 and it is one of the Young Innovative Enterprises projects supported by the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation Tekes. In addition to its Finnish headquarters in Vantaa the company has an office in Kuala Lumpur and it works with a global network of partners.
