Iiittala Vitriini range, designed by Anu Penttinen, has won a prestigious iF-design award which is awarded by German Industrie Forum Design. It is one of the most highly regarded international design awards. Iittala launched the innovative Vitriini range of containers for storing and showcasing little things in early 2010.
— We have continued the strong design tradition started by Alvar Aalto and Kaj Franck, yet at the same time we have supported new designers who continue this tradition in a new innovative way. It is great to see that the new approach can also win international accolades, says Iittala Business Director Päivi Paltola-Pekkola.
Since its launch, Vitriini range has rapidly gained popularity, and has in fact become one of the most popular of Iittala’s products. Penttinen’s design appeals to consumers with its clean design, multipurpose functionality and colour range. Vitriini containers are made of recycled glass, wood and aluminium.
