'Housegame' helps Germans to budget for house building

Heinze, affiliate of the German building branch media giant DOCUgroup, has signed a contract with the Tampere-based company Visual Computing Oy. According to the contract the German company will introduce the Finnish 'Housegame' in its portals in Germany, reports Kauppalehti magazine.

The builder can use the programme to familiarize himself with prizes of different building solutions prior to beginning the construction work. The programme improves the construction related knowledge of its users and reduces thus the application of insufficient building solutions.

- The cooperation will open a new, innovative and cost effective electronic marketing channel. Housegame offers consumers a chance to communicate their needs directly with the building contractor and the architect. In this way the demand, supply and designing of houses meet exactly in the point where consumers are making decisions of their new homes, says Pekka Matilainen, who is responsible for business development at Visual Computing Oy,

Housegame is a programme which has been productized basing on research carried out by Tampere University of Technology. The head developer is Petri Jyrkkä.

Visual Computing trusts that the new contract will open the markets also in Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia, reports Kauppalehti magazine.
