Footbalance to be launched in 5300 Intersport stores worldwide
Finnish Footbalance and Intersport International have signed a strategic partnership contract which covers 5300 stores in 35 countries. The contract supports both the image of Intersport as a top quality sports business chain and the international growth of Footbalance.
The concept of Footbalance entails complimentary foot analysis and individually molded insoles which support foot position and gait. Footbalance was lunched in Finnish Intersport stores already in 2006. It extended to Norway in 2008, where it has been a huge success.
The most immediate plan of Footbalance is to launch its concept to Intersport's major market fields in Germany, France and Sweden. These countries have already about 2000 Intersport stores. The aim of the recently signed contract between Footbalance and Intersport International is to supply all the 5300 Intersport stores worldwide with the concept within the following four years.
Intersport became interested in Footbalance once it heard of its success in Norway. Besides boosting the sales, Footbalance has also lifted Intersport's public image. Rather than being just a sports store, Intersport will now start providing personal service to its customers.
