Fiskars introduces a new generation Buster L motorboat
Fiskars.fi Buster boats have been manufactured in Ähtäri for over 30 years.The most popular motorboat in Finland, Buster L, has gained a successor. The new generation version of Buster L has been equipped with a new hull and new plastic interior design. The boat is 14 cm longer and its beam is 1 cm wider than its predecessors.
Buster L runs still with an engine rating of 30-50hp, and it can take six sturdy men or a respectable load of 465 kilograms.
Thanks to the new design Buster L's interior is now more spacious than before. The improvements to the interior are most evident in the higher sides, increased inner width and material choices. The old aluminium seat and box structures have been replaced with rotational moulded plastic elements.
-I don't think there is any other serial production boat in existence which has been tested as thoroughly and over as long a period of time as the next generation Buster L, says Markku Uotinen who is in charge of marketing and R&D of Buster.
The boat's main construction material is marine aluminium. While designing the completely new hull, particular attention was paid to the shape of the bow and the tilting and turning qualities. The bow of the new model is even more bearing, meaning the boat stays drier and is easier to handle in rough waters.
Fiskars, the largest aluminium boat manufacturer in Europe, has been producing Busters in Ähtäri, Finland for more than 30 years. More than half of the produced boats are exported. Nearly 80,000 Busters have been sold through the years.
