Fintra trains young Russian business managers
Up to 80 young Russians will be trained in Finland by the end of 2010. The new element in the international cooperation initiated by the international business management training centre Fintra is to reciprocate the exchange by sending young Finnish business managers to Russia to familiarize themselves with the culture and practice of Russian business management.
The continuation of the FINRUS-educational initiative for 2009-2010 was agreed upon with the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin during his visit to Finland. The training programme is funded from the Finnish budget allocation for co-operation of the neighboring countries.
The pilot group of Finnish business managers will leave for Russia in September. A total of 100 young Russian business managers took part in the training programme between 2006-2008. Fintra reports that the project been received very positively and both parties have expressed their wish to continue the cooperation.
- I believe very strongly that the collaboration initiated during the FINRUS-training will enhance the economic and trade relationships between the two countries. By learning about each other's policies we can create very productive interaction, says the Chief Executive of Fintra, Heikki Tikkanen.
