Mendor receives an international technology prize

Mendor, a Finnish diabetes technology start-up, has won international recognition in the Silicon Valley, USA. Mendor, a Finnish diabetes technology start-up, has won international recognition in the Silicon Valley, USA.

Mendor, a diabetes technology start-up, has been awarded the international TiE50 technology prize for its innovations in the field of advanced diabetes management, combining new user friendly design and technology to address the needs of those affected by diabetes.TiE50 is an American Silicon Valley –based organization with over 14,000 members following technology start-ups worldwide.

The Espoo based Mendor designs, manufactures and markets advanced diabetes management products to improve the quality of life of people living with diabetes. The company is now looking for the global expansion for its products.

In addition to our strong European focus, our eyes are now turned also to the Chinese market. Also there diabetes is a growing problem, comments Mendor’s CEO Kristian Ranta.

Mendor currently operates in the Baltics, the United Kingdom, Greece, Qatar, Sweden and Finland, and has approximately 35 employees. Its products include a fully integrated, all-in-one blood glucose meter Mendor DiscreetTM, and web-based software Mendor BalanceTM that is offering a new approach to help people with diabetes to more easily understand their blood glucose behaviour.  Mendor Discreet has already been granted the CE mark to allow distribution in the EU.
