Finnish start-up companies will next week invade California’s Silicon Valley in the trip named as FinnvasionUSA by the Finnish Foreign Ministry. The trip includes 27 Finnish start-up companies, and is lead by Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade of Finland, Alexander Stubb.
According to a Foreing Ministry's press release, Silicon Valley has grown in importance to Finnish start-ups, and around dozen of companies have already located there. The purpose of the trip is to introduce new, innovative Finnish companies to investors and customers located in Silicon Valley, Washington and New York.
The trip has been organised in partnership with Finnish Foreign Ministry, Aalto Venture Garage, FinnMob, Finpro and FinNode.
