Finnish future-researcher listed in Marquis Who’s Who in the World
Mika Aaltonen’s latest book 'Robustness – Anticipatory and Adaptive Human Systems' was published in June.Docent Aaltonen works as a Research Director at the Aalto University, and he has been appointed as the Senior Associate Researcher at London School of Economics for next year.
Aaltonen used to be a professional football player, who played as the first Finnish professional for instance in the Italian, Swiss and Israeli premier leagues. He has published several books and articles on future research, decision-making and research methodologies. His recently published book ‘Robustness’ deals with the ways in which governments of different countries react to uncertainties surrounding them.
Aaltonen was chosen for the latest edition of Who’s Who in the World for his scientific achievements: the ranking of his book 'The Thirds Lens' as the eight most important event of the week of its release in 2007 by Complexity Digest, the selection of his article ‘Kiertävä kansalaisuus’ as the marketing article of the Inderscience Publishers in 2007, the first prize of the 2008 Emerald Literati Network for outstanding papers, and a number of other acknowledgements.
