Finnish Entrepreneurs of the Year produce top class lures, jewellery, lifestyle solutions and meat products
Kuusamon UistinKuusamon Uistin, Laatukoru, Palvelukoti Rantakartano and Snellman have received this year's Finnish 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award. The awards were presented during the National Entrepreneur Days on Saturday in Helsinki.
Kuusamon Uistin Oy, the biggest metal spoonbait factory in Finland, is well-known among fishing enthusiasts. The company, which was established 1967 in the backroom of a laundrette, produces currently up to 800,000 lures every year. Kuusamon Uistin employs 30 members of staff and the company's annual turnover is 2,8 million Euros. In addition to being widely available in sports, fishing and camping stores in Finland the company also exports lures to other northern European countries and Russia.
Hyvinkää-based Laatukoru Oy, a jewellery company specialised in producing diamond jewellery, has succeeded in increasing its clientele despite the recession. The company's ten jewellery stores are located on central business streets and large shopping centers in Southern Finland. The company's plan for the end of this year is to launch an online store, which will be operated by 60 employees. Laatukoru has a 8,4 million Euro net sales.

Rantakartano Oy provides supported living solutions and travel and accommodation services in Helsinki while Oy Snellman Ab maintains it popularity as the much loved producer of convenience foods and meat products, operating in Finland, Sweden and Russia.
