Finnish dog tracking devices in worldwide distribution

Tracker Inc., an Oulunsalo based manufacturer of dog tracking devices, has signed a remarkable contract with the leading brand in the field, SportDOG. The well known American company is under the wings of the pet accessory giant, Radio System Corporation.

Tracker Inc. is specialised in tracking and telemetry devices, also focusing on development and sales of GSP and Radio Frequency tracking systems for animals, in particular for hunting dogs.

- We have been leading the market in our region for a long time already. When we are now co-operating with SportDog, a company that utilises a worldwide distribution network, we expect to reach a similar status also elsewhere in the world, assures Janne Maijala, sales manager for Tracker Inc.

SportDOG will distribute Tracker products all over the world. Only the Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Estonian markets will continue to be managed by Tracker Inc. itself. Mr. Maijala estimates that the contract will ensure at least five million Euro turnover as well as providing a possibility of greater growth and stronger foothold in the international markets.

Tracker Inc. has already been exporting tracking devices to Europe and Australia. Tracker has also operated in the United States for over a decade through its subsidiary company. From now on SportDog will take care of the company's retail in these regions as well as opening up the markets in other parts of the world.

Tracker Inc. employs currently about thirty people.
