The Finnish music discovery company Hitlantis, and two other Finnish companies have been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Bully Award’ 2011. These awards are annually given to the leading technology, media and telecommunications companies (TMT) in Europe. Winners are going to be announced in October at the Pathways to Exit event in Barcelona.
Hitlantis started to operate as a company at early 2010, and it was developed by the software company Cognitive Maps Ltd. According to Markkinointi & Mainonta- paper, one of the company’s biggest owners is Hasan Development which is the development and investment arm of advertising agency Hasan & Partners.
The second nominee is Transfluent which offers near real-time professional translation to social media feeds and websites. It’s a fully automated service that translates Twitter or Facebook posts immediately when they are posted, and keeps websites always up-to-date no matter how frequently they are changed.The company is owned by Xiha Oy whose advisory board includes Peter Vesterbacka – well-known from Angry Birds and Rovio.
The third Finnish nominee is online shopping platform Kiosked which has been developed by Micke Paqvalén and Antti Pasila. According to Markkinointi & Mainonta- paper, Aller Media is one of the first companies to adapt the Kiosked platform.
